Letter from the Dean of the College
To all new faculty members of The College:
Welcome to
Washington and Lee!
This booklet
has been created to help you become familiar with everyday work-related
issues. Although this Guide is far from comprehensive, I hope that you will
find that many of your questions about how things are done at W&L are
answered here. The Guide is not intended as a replacement for the Faculty
Handbook (http://thecollege.wlu.edu/administration/handbook/index.htm ) or
for other official University policies. Questions about the Guide should be
directed to me or to Associate Dean Elizabeth Knapp.
All of us in
the Dean’s Office are pleased to have you as our new colleagues, and we look
