Grants and Fellowships
Fellowships for Seniors and Recent Graduates
This web page briefly summarizes graduate fellowships available through
national competitions. All are for graduate work, though some offer support
for the senior year; many are for study abroad. Nearly all offer a wide
choice of schools.
The following information includes the purposes of each fellowship,
the criteria used to select recipients, and the terms of the awards. In
addition, application deadlines and Washington and Lee's liaison officers
are listed for each entry.
Most graduate fellowships do not require application until the fall
term of the senior year, but students who think they may be interested
in post-graduate study should have in mind the general criteria for selection
in order to plan an effective course of study. At the minimum, begin to
prepare for applying no later than the summer before your senior year.
Further information about these and other fellowships may be obtained
from individual liaison officers or the Associate Dean of the College.
